GOD ALWAYS LEADS IN TRIUMPH

by Feb 17, 2020February

“Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.” (2 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV)

Life is not a race without hurdles or challenges. However, the born-again believers are more than conquerors through Christ who loved them and who is living in them by His Spirit.

Paul states, “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” (Rom. 8:37 NKJV).

John testifies, “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” (1 John 4:4 NKJV).

As a believer, you are born again as an overcomer. It is your birthright, heritage and destiny in Christ to live an overcoming, victorious, triumphant, prosperous and fulfilling life in this world.

By reason of your spiritual union with Christ through the New Birth, the resounding victory of Jesus Christ through His death and resurrection is now your personal victory.

Because Christ overcame sin, the flesh, the world, Satan, and death; you also have overcome them all. In fact, Christ overcame them all for you (Rom. 8:37)!

The Lord Jesus assures, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 NKJV).

Apostle John testifies, “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world–our faith.” (1 John 5:4 NKJV).

As a born-again believer, you are called to partake in, appropriate and demonstrate the victory of Christ over sin, sickness, curse, death, the flesh, the world, Satan and all his works.

Therefore, it is a contradiction to be a believer and yet remain a captive or a slave of Sin and Satan. It is also a sheer ignorance, a blasphemy or a slander for a born-again Christian to attribute his poverty, sickness, failure or defeat in life to God in any way.

James 1:

13 Let no man say when he is tested, I am tested by God; for it is not possible for God to be tested by evil, and he himself puts no man to such a test:

14 But every man is tested when he is turned out of the right way by the attraction of his desire. (BBE).

Under the New Covenant, God will never test, afflict, chastise, or punish the believers with sickness, poverty, failure or defeat.

God will be unjust to do that! Why?

Because that will nullify the redemptive work of Christ!

Sadly, many believers today are wasting or pining away in suffering, sickness, poverty, debt, failure or defeat while erroneously thinking or believing that it is God who is testing their faith or seeking to teach them some vital lessons in life.

It is so absurd to think that God will, for any reason, perform or promote in our lives the same works of the devil which He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to come into the world to destroy (1 John 3:8).

How can anyone possibly believe such a lie from the pit of hell?

As a New Creation in Christ, you are well designed, furnished, equipped, prepared and destined by God for a triumphant life that Christ lived in this fallen world. Therefore, don’t settle for anything less than the overcoming, victorious, and triumphant life that Christ lived.

The life Christ lived on earth is your standard!

Any life that is contrary to or below that which Christ lived is unbecoming of you as a Christian or a follower of Christ.

John states, “The man who professes to be continuing in Him is himself also bound to live as He lived.” (1 John 2:6 WNT).

Beloved, you are born again as a victor, a winner, or an overcomer in Christ. Christ’s victory is now yours to receive, celebrate, appropriate and demonstrate to the world.

Therefore, approach and confront all challenges and battles of life with the mindset, attitude and confidence of an overcomer. Don’t allow your momentary fall or failure to define you, or change your identity in Christ.

When you stumble, fall or fail along the race of life; arise and shake yourself from the dust of failure and press forward toward the finishing line.

It is your destiny to overcome and finish well and strong in Christ. God is committed to giving and leading you into victory at all times and in all situations.

Paul testifies, “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.” (2 Cor. 2:14 NKJV).

“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Cor. 15:57 NKJV).

Friend, don’t ever accept the lie of the devil or any of his agents that God is the one giving or leading you into any temptation, sickness, failure or defeat in life so as to teach you some vital lessons in life, or so as to prepare you for a special assignment in life.

God’s Word is the means by which God teaches, instructs, corrects, rebukes and thoroughly equips His children for His work.

Apostle Paul aptly attests to this pivotal truth.

2 Timothy 3:

16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. (NKJV).

Romans 15:

4 For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. (NKJV).

It is primarily through the hearing, reading, studying, imbibing and meditating in God’s Word that you can be truly wise in life.

The Psalmist testifies to this truth.

Psalms 119:

97 Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day.

98 You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies; For they are ever with me.

99 I have more understanding than all my teachers, For Your testimonies are my meditation.

100 I understand more than the ancients, because I keep Your precepts. (NKJV).

God is not the author or source of evil; He is a good God and He does not test, tempt or torment His children with evil.

God always leads His children into triumph, victory, success and prosperity. God will never lead you into failure, defeat, debt or poverty in life. (Jam. 1:13, Psa. 92:15).

When God blesses, He adds no sorrow with it!

The Scripture states, “The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.” (Prov. 10:22 NKJV).

“Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.” (Jam. 1:16-17 NKJV).

Prayer: My Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your commitment to always lead me into triumph, victory and prosperity. My Dear Holy Spirit, teach and help me to embrace and follow God’s leading at all times, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
