Our Beliefs
We are staunch Believers of the BibleDIVINE INSPIRATION & INFALLIBILITY OF THE SCRIPTURE
We believe that the Bible does not just contain the Word of God; it is the written Word of God. It is an authoritative revelation of God and a sourcebook of God’s knowledge to humanity.
We believe that the Scripture in its original languages is infallible. And that “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Tim. 3:16-17 NKJV).
SALVATION BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH ALONE IN THE PERSON AND THE FINISHED WORK OF JESUS CHRIST ON THE CROSS
We believe that all men have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Rom. 3:23). And that the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men in the person of Jesus Christ (Titus 2:11-12, John 1:17). We believe that salvation is a free gift of God to all humankind and not a reward for any works. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. (Eph. 2:8-9 NKJV).
ONE GOD
We believe in “one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all” (Eph. 4:6 NKJV). We believe that God has revealed Himself to humanity as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Matt. 3:16-17: 28:19, 1 Pet. 1:2). Though these three are distinctive in attributes, yet they are one in essence and divinity.
DIVINE PERSONALITY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit is not a mere influence, power, or force of God. But He is a divine person who possesses all the necessary qualities of intellect, emotion, will, knowledge and actions. He is in no way inferior to God the Father and God the Son. We believe the Holy Spirit has been sent by God the Father and Son to indwell, guide, preserve, anoint or empower the believers to live for God in this world.
THE PREEMINENCE OF JESUS CHRIST
We believe in the Incarnation, the substitutionary death, and the bodily Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave and His Ascension into heaven. We believe that Jesus Christ has been highly exalted “far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.” (Eph. 1:21 NKJV). And that God has “put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church.” (Eph. 1:22 NKJV).
ONE BODY OF CHRIST
We believe that there is one Body of Christ and that all those who put their faith in the person and the finished work of Christ on the Cross have been baptized by the Holy Spirit into this one Body. “For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body–whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free–and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.” (1 Cor. 12:13 NKJV). “For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.” (1 Cor. 12:12 NKJV).
THE RAPTURE OF THE SAINTS & THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST
We believe that all true saints will be raptured or caught up with Christ “in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” (1 Cor. 15:52 NKJV). We also believe that Christ is coming back again with His saints to establish His literal Kingdom on the earth and to judge the world. We believe that while the true believers will enjoy eternity with God in heaven, the wicked, the ungodly, will be tormented throughout eternity in hell (Rev. 20:15, 21:7-8).
