BE IMITATOR OF GOD (Part 2)

BE IMITATOR OF GOD (Part 2)

A call to be a Christian is primary a call to follow Christ’s examples and be fully conformed to Christ in all things. Sadly, Christianity today is becoming synonymous only with material prosperity and not anymore with Christ’s lifestyle.

How we have missed our highest call and goal in life! God’s highest call and goal for all His children is to be fully “conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.” (Rom. 8:29 NKJV). Therefore, your greatest pursuit should be to attain Christ-likeness – the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ – manifesting and expressing God’s life, nature, glory, love, power, and character as Christ did while in the world…

BE IMITATOR OF GOD (Part 1)

BE IMITATOR OF GOD (Part 1)

Christianity is essentially thinking, speaking, walking, living, or acting like Jesus Christ. It is conforming to Christ and His teachings. It is patterning your life after Christ. It is adopting or living by Christ’s principles, standards and values. It is following Christ’s examples in everything.

Imitating God is not optional for those who claim to believe in God or belong to God. It is compulsory, for it is God’s commandment. If you claim to believe in Christ and belong to Christ, but seek not to walk or live like Christ; you are simply a liar, a fake or an impostor…

A NEW COMMANDMENT OF LOVE (Part 2)

A NEW COMMANDMENT OF LOVE (Part 2)

The standard and measure of love God expects the New Testament believers to adopt, apply, or demonstrate in their relationships or dealings with people is infinitely higher and greater than that required of the Old Testament saints. Sadly, many believers today are totally ignorant of this truth and so they still continue to adopt and apply the Old Testament’s standard of love in their relationships and dealings with people.

The Lord Jesus Christ commands His disciples to love people in a radical way that is completely different to and infinitely above the stipulation of the Mosaic Law…

A NEW COMMANDMENT OF LOVE (Part 1)

A NEW COMMANDMENT OF LOVE (Part 1)

A call to be a disciple of Jesus Christ is essentially a call to receive, experience, and demonstrate or walk in God’s kind of love (agape), just as the Lord Jesus Christ has loved you. The commandment to love is apparently not strange to the Jewish people. It is actually the summary of all the Mosaic Law.

Why then did the Lord Jesus Christ give His disciples a new commandment of love in John 13:34?
What is “new” in the Lord’s commandment of love given to His disciples?
How is it different from that of the old commandment?

THE GREATEST VIRTUE

THE GREATEST VIRTUE

Love is the greatest manifestation of the Holy Spirit. It is the primary evidence of being full of the Holy Spirit or walking in the Spirit. Loving others as Christ has loved you is the undeniable proof that you are indeed a spiritual Christian – one who is filled with the Holy Spirit, submissive or yielding to the Holy Spirit, depending upon the Holy Spirit, and living by the power of the Holy Spirit.

The indisputable proof or evidence of being filled with the Holy Spirit is loving people as the Lord Jesus Christ has loved you. Walking in God’s kind of love is the primary expression, result, or fruit of the abiding and working of the Holy Spirit in your heart…
