BE IMITATOR OF GOD (Part 2)

BE IMITATOR OF GOD (Part 2)

God does not want His children to merely believe in Him; God wants us to behave like Him. God’s children are called not just to be mere believers, but also to be imitators of God.

A call to be a Christian is primary a call to follow Christ’s examples and be fully conformed to Christ in all things. Sadly, Christianity today is becoming synonymous only with material prosperity and not anymore with Christ’s lifestyle.

How we have missed our highest call and goal in life!

BE IMITATOR OF GOD (Part 1)

BE IMITATOR OF GOD (Part 1)

God takes delight or pleasure in seeing His children think, speak, act, walk or live like His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, who is the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person (Heb. 1:3).

It is God’s ultimate desire for all His children to be fully conformed to the image of His Firstborn, Christ Jesus.

Claiming to believe in Christ or to belong to Christ without behaving like Christ is a contradiction in terms. Your claim to be a Christian is not valid if your life or character bears no resemblance to that of Christ…

A NEW COMMANDMENT OF LOVE (Part 2)

A NEW COMMANDMENT OF LOVE (Part 2)

The standard and measure of love God expects the New Testament believers to adopt, apply, or demonstrate in their relationships or dealings with people is infinitely higher and greater than that required of the Old Testament saints.

Sadly, many believers today are totally ignorant of this truth and so they still continue to adopt and apply the Old Testament’s standard of love in their relationships and dealings with people.

The Lord Jesus Christ commands His disciples to love people in a radical way that is completely different to and infinitely above the stipulation of the Mosaic Law…

A NEW COMMANDMENT OF LOVE (Part 1)

A NEW COMMANDMENT OF LOVE (Part 1)

A call to be a disciple of Jesus Christ is essentially a call to receive, experience, and demonstrate or walk in God’s kind of love (agape) just as the Lord Jesus Christ did while He was physically in the world.

The saints of old were permitted under the Mosaic Law to discriminate in loving people. They were only bound, commanded, and expected by the Law to love their families, friends or neighbours, but not their enemies or those who hated them.

On the contrary, the Lord Jesus’ new commandment of love prohibits any form of discrimination in loving people. You are expected to love all people, whether friends or enemies, or whether they deserve it or not…

THE GREATEST VIRTUE

THE GREATEST VIRTUE

Love is the authentic badge or emblem of a true Christian. It is the greatest of all moral and spiritual virtues. Loving people as Christ has loved you is the only incontestable or indisputable evidence, proof, or witness to the world that you are a disciple of Christ.

For Christians, loving people is much more than having a good feeling, warm affection, fondness or strong liking for people. It is a deliberate choice, a firm decision, a commitment, an obligation or responsibility, and a commandment of God to keep…

DISCOVERING GOD’S PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE (Part 2)

DISCOVERING GOD’S PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE (Part 2)

You are perfectly cut out for something unique and specific in life. There is something that only you can do perfectly in life. This is your purpose in life. God specifically created you for a specific or special purpose in life.

You cannot fully enjoy or maximize your life without finding out and committing yourself to fulfilling God’s purpose for creating you as a unique or unequalled person on earth. Sadly, many people in the world today are completely ignorant of why God created them to be unique or different from any other person in the world…
