DISCOVERING GOD’S PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE (Part 1)

DISCOVERING GOD’S PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE (Part 1)

Without a mindset, willingness, or resolution to embrace, pursue, or do whatever God reveals to you as His divine purpose for your life, you may never get to discover, know or understand fully God’s purpose for your life.

Preparing your heart to give up other activities so that you may focus on God’s purpose for your life is a major prerequisite to discovering and understanding your purpose in life. If you are not willing or ready to make sacrifices (give up things you need to give up) in order to see God’s purpose for your life fulfilled, you are not yet serious about finding your purpose in life…

GOD’S PURPOSES FOR MANKIND

GOD’S PURPOSES FOR MANKIND

God created man in His image on purpose (Gen. 1:26-28). The first man, Adam, was fulfilling God’s purposes for creating him until God’s image and nature in him became corrupted and distorted through his disobedience to God’s express command.

All of us were born spiritually dead, being alienated from the life of God, and with a sin nature and thus with an inherent inability to fully understand and fulfil God’s purposes or intentions for creating us in His very image (Rom. 5:12, Eph. 2:1, 4:17-18). Until the full revelation of God’s grace to mankind in and through the person of Jesus Christ no man was able to completely, consistently, or constantly walk in all the purposes for which God created man…

THE POWER OF PURPOSE

THE POWER OF PURPOSE

You are God’s masterpiece, fearfully and wonderfully formed, designed, wired, equipped, and packaged for a unique purpose, mission or assignment on earth.

God has specially and specifically furnished and packaged you as His unique solution to a unique problem, as His unique provision to meet a unique need, and as His unique answer to a unique question in the world. Therefore, despising or neglecting your God-ordained purpose is a great crime to humanity. It is a great deprivation or loss to the entire world! Living without purpose is a prodigal living!

UNDERSTANDING YOUR PURPOSE

UNDERSTANDING YOUR PURPOSE

Collins English Dictionary defines the word “purpose” as “the reason for which anything is done, created, or exists; a fixed design, outcome, or idea that is the object of an action or other effort; fixed intention in doing something.”

God is a God of purpose. He does nothing without a specific purpose or fixed intention. Your birth was neither a mistake nor mishap notwithstanding the circumstances surrounding your birth. You are not a biological accident but a product of purpose! God created you on purpose, with a purpose, and for a purpose. God has a glorious purpose or fixed intention for creating and saving you…

WHAT CAN YOU DIE FOR?

WHAT CAN YOU DIE FOR?

Having discovered their true calling and purpose in Christ, nothing was strong enough to stand in their path of accomplishing God’s purpose, not even the threat of death or persecution. When they were severely threatened and commanded to stop preaching or teaching in the name of Jesus, their prompt response was: “For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.” (Acts 4:20 NKJV).

They were willing to die for the cause and the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. What about you? Although Apostle Paul knew that chains and tribulations awaited him in Jerusalem, yet he embraced it with joy so that he might fulfil the ministry he had received from the Lord Jesus…

THE ROD OF GOD

THE ROD OF GOD

With the rod of God in his hand, Moses wrought great exploits, signs and wonders in Egypt that confounded and humiliated Pharaoh and all the sorcerers, magicians and wise men in Egypt, and brought out the children of Israel from Egypt, thereby fulfilling his divine purpose in life.

Just as Moses began to see, call, regard and treat his rod as the holy rod of God after surrendering it to God, having surrendered your life to Christ, you also must begin to see, call, regard and treat yourself as sacred and holy to God – no longer as a common, unholy, natural or ordinary person…
