THE PURPOSE OF THE LAW (Part 2)

THE PURPOSE OF THE LAW (Part 2)

The law was given to us to stop our boasting about our self-righteousness, performance or good works before God. It was the law that made all men to become guilty before God, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Rom. 3:23 NKJV).

The law was not given to help us in our struggle against sin but to give sin an occasion, opportunity or advantage over us. The law gives sin strength over us and brings all men under guilt, condemnation and death. You can never obtain justification by the works of the law! Paul clearly reveals this truth in his epistles…

THE PURPOSE OF THE LAW (Part 1)

THE PURPOSE OF THE LAW (Part 1)

Jesus Christ and His teaching became “a stumbling block” to the Jews because they were bent on using the law God gave them through Moses for the purpose it was not meant or intended for.

The Jews wrongly sought to use the law as a means of righteousness, to attain a right standing with God, and to earn God’s love, acceptance, favour and blessings. They erroneously believed and concluded that the law was given to them for their justification or salvation. Paul exposes their ignorance in his epistle to the Christians at Rome…

LET CHRIST LIVE IN YOU

LET CHRIST LIVE IN YOU

A call to be a Christian is not essentially a call to live for Christ, but rather a call to let Christ live in you and manifest Himself through you. There is a great difference between striving to live for Christ and yielding yourself to Christ so that He may live in you and manifest Himself through you.

Sadly, many believers today are primarily concerned about living for Christ and not letting Christ live in them and manifest His life through them. Their focus is on working for God and not on walking with God, on doing something for God and not on being who God has called them to be in Christ. They are always seeking and striving to do some works for Christ in order to earn His love, acceptance, favour, or blessing…

YOU ARE COMPLETE IN CHRIST

YOU ARE COMPLETE IN CHRIST

The devil has to first dangle before your eyes as bait what you strongly desire before he can lure you into following his evil ways. This is the primary way the devil has been tempting man from the Garden of Eden till now.

Therefore, the principal key or secret to living a victorious life in Christ is to know, understand and be fully satisfied with who you are and what you have in Christ. The devil can only explore your dissatisfaction and lust to tempt or manipulate you! If you are completely satisfied with who you are and what you have in Christ, the devil has nothing in you to employ to lure you into temptation to sin…

Knowing that you are complete in Christ disarms all Satan’s lies and deceptions!

STOP CHASING AFTER THE SHADOW

STOP CHASING AFTER THE SHADOW

The religious folks in Jesus’ days missed God’s best for them because they continued to religiously cling to the Mosaic laws and rituals (the shadow) when Jesus Christ (the body) which casts the shadow had manifested fully to them.

In spite of the revelation of the grace of God that brings salvation to all men, yet many religious folks today are still pursing, following and observing the Old Testament laws and rituals as a means of righteousness, or as a means obtaining God’s favour, approval, or salvation. It is simply foolishness to keep chasing after the shadow when the body which casts the shadow is available and within your reach…

TWO KINDS OF LIFE

TWO KINDS OF LIFE

Simply put, what Jesus Christ came to give or offer the fallen mankind is “Life” Jesus states it loud and clear. If what Jesus Christ came to give us is life, it simply means that life is all that we need!

But does this mean we didn’t have life before Jesus Christ came into the world? Obviously, we have life but not God’s kind of life! We were born with a natural or physical life. But what Jesus came to give us is divine or supernatural life, the kind of life that God has (John 5:21, 26). How is the divine life Jesus came to give us different from the natural life we were born with?
