POSITIONAL SANCTIFICATION

POSITIONAL SANCTIFICATION

Sanctification is both a spiritual state and process. It is an act of grace by which a person justified by faith in the person and redemptive work of Jesus Christ is separated from sin and the world unto God.

Simply put, sanctification is a state of holiness, or separation unto God. By faith in Christ, the born-again believers have not only been forgiven or justified, but we have also been sanctified or made holy unto God in Christ Jesus. In his letter to the church at Corinth, Paul refers to the believers as those who are sanctified in Christ…

YOU ARE GOD’S STEWARD (Part 2)

YOU ARE GOD’S STEWARD (Part 2)

One of the things that distinguished the early believers from the rest of the people was their steward mentality or mindset. They acknowledged God as the real owner of all the things which they possessed. They regarded themselves only as stewards, caretakers, or managers of God’s resources.

The early believers were able to have a common purse, having all things in common, because none among them claimed that any of the things he possessed was his own. What a right company to belong to!

YOU ARE GOD’S STEWARD (Part 1)

YOU ARE GOD’S STEWARD (Part 1)

A steward is someone who manages property, finances or other affairs for someone else. A steward holds assets in trust for a beneficiary. He is a custodian, a caretaker, or an overseer.

A steward never says or claims that what is entrusted to his care belongs to him. He does not spend and waste lavishly upon himself what is committed to his hands as he wills or desires without the knowledge and approval of the owner. A steward always waits to receive clear orders, commands, and instructions from the owner…

HONOUR THE LORD WITH YOUR SUBSTANCE

HONOUR THE LORD WITH YOUR SUBSTANCE

When it finally began to dawn on Pharaoh the King of Egypt that he could no longer hold the children of Israel in captivity he began to negotiate or discuss the terms of their release with Moses.

When God brought thick darkness upon all the land of Egypt, except Goshen where the children of Israel were dwelling, for three days Pharaoh called Moses and said, “Go, serve the LORD; only let your flocks and your herds be kept back. Let your little ones also go with you.” (Exo. 10:24 NKJV). Pharaoh would not mind the children of Israel going out of Egypt to worship their God empty-handed, leaving behind in Egypt all their possessions…

BLESSING WITHOUT WRESTLING

BLESSING WITHOUT WRESTLING

Jacob came out of the womb as a supplanter or usurper. He came out of the womb holding firmly unto the heel of his brother, Esau. From birth, Jacob had his eyes on the birthright of his brother. Although he wrestled for it in the womb and could not get it, yet he would not give up.

Eventually, Jacob wrestled the blessing of the firstborn out of Esau’s hand, for Esau despised his birthright and sold it to satisfy the craving of his flesh. But afterward, “when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears.” (Heb. 12:17 NKJV). Esau lost a generational blessing for a fleeting pleasure! What a great lesson for us today!

DIVINE FOUNTAIN IN EARTHEN VESSELS

DIVINE FOUNTAIN IN EARTHEN VESSELS

Every born-again believer has in him/her the fountain of living water. Glory! Hallelujah! If you have truly come to Christ in humility and faith, acknowledging and confessing Him as your personal Saviour and Lord, you are not only perfectly and eternally satisfied with the living water; you have also become a vessel carrying the fountain of living water.

You are not the fountain of living water, Jesus Christ is. However, Christ by His Spirit now lives in your born-again spirit. Therefore, you now have the fountain of life within you…
