JESUS CHRIST – THE GOOD SHEPHERD

JESUS CHRIST – THE GOOD SHEPHERD

Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd God promised to establish over all His flock – whether Jews or Gentiles, whether circumcised in the flesh or not. All those who have put their faith in the person and finished work of Christ for salvation and have confessed Christ Jesus as their Lord and Saviour are God’s flock.

As God the Father was the Good Shepherd over the nation of Israel under the Old Covenant, so also is Jesus Christ today the Good Shepherd over all the born-again believers under the New Covenant…

THE AGENTS OF REVIVAL

THE AGENTS OF REVIVAL

It is fire that begets fire. How do we expect a minister of God who is spiritually dead or lukewarm to rekindle or ignite God’s love in our hearts by his preaching or teaching? Such a minister of God can only excite or stir up people’s emotions with his enticing and sweet words. But, of what good or profit is exciting people’s emotions when their spirits are dead in sins and their souls are famishing for the truth?

Like Ezekiel, firebrand believers are the only hope of “dry bones” in the valley of sin today. A spiritually dead, cold or lukewarm believer or minister is of no good to perishing souls. A man not on fire for God cannot set another man or nation on fire for God!

GO FOR GOD’S BEST FOR YOU

GO FOR GOD’S BEST FOR YOU

God’s best for you is His blessings and not occasional miracles. To have God’s blessing is infinitely bigger and better than having some miracles. While miracles are awesome, spectacular, and supernatural display of God’s glory and power, yet God does not intend for you to live on miracles daily.

The chief purpose of the finished work of Christ is not for you to receive, experience, or enjoy some occasional and temporary miracles in times of crises, but to make you a joint-heir of God’s blessing with Christ and thus walk in God’s blessing everyday of your life…

SERVANT-LEADERSHIP IN THE CHURCH

SERVANT-LEADERSHIP IN THE CHURCH

Jesus Christ is our perfect example of a Servant-Leader. Though He is the King of kings and Lord of lords, yet Jesus came into the world not to be served, but to serve us and to give His life as a ransom for us.

Servant-Leadership connotes sacrifice or self-denial. Any leader who clings tenaciously to his rights and privileges cannot be a servant-leader. A servant-leader is one who is dead to himself and one who chooses to deny himself daily, and one who willingly sacrifice his personal ambitions, comforts or rights for the sake of the gospel and the people he ministers to…

GOD’S BUILDING ON EARTH

GOD’S BUILDING ON EARTH

God’s building on the earth is the Church (the Ekklessia). This building is not an imposing physical structure or edifice, but an assembly or a company of people called out from the world to Christ.

The Lord Jesus is the one building His Church; He is the Chief or Master Builder. He clearly said, “I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.” (Matt. 16:18 NKJV). However, the Lord takes delight in working with and through mortal men, so the Lord employs some men to be co-builders with Him…

LIVING AS A NEW COVENANT BELIEVER

LIVING AS A NEW COVENANT BELIEVER

In spite of the clear presentation and ample explanation of this truth in the Bible (-that God has made the first or the old covenant obsolete), yet many believers today are still serving God according to the old written code (the Mosaic Law), thereby missing out on the amazing benefits and blessings of the New Covenant in the blood of Jesus Christ.

The New Covenant is not an extension, elongation, or modification of the Old Covenant, but an entirely New and Different Covenant. Sadly, many believers and ministers of God today are still confusing or mixing the New Covenant with the Old Covenant…
