GOD’S BUILDING ON EARTH

GOD’S BUILDING ON EARTH

God’s building on the earth is the Church (the Ekklessia). This building is not an imposing physical structure or edifice, but an assembly or a company of people called out from the world to Christ.

The Lord Jesus is the one building His Church; He is the Chief or Master Builder. He clearly said, “I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.” (Matt. 16:18 NKJV). However, the Lord takes delight in working with and through mortal men, so the Lord employs some men to be co-builders with Him…

LIVING AS A NEW COVENANT BELIEVER

LIVING AS A NEW COVENANT BELIEVER

In spite of the clear presentation and ample explanation of this truth in the Bible (-that God has made the first or the old covenant obsolete), yet many believers today are still serving God according to the old written code (the Mosaic Law), thereby missing out on the amazing benefits and blessings of the New Covenant in the blood of Jesus Christ.

The New Covenant is not an extension, elongation, or modification of the Old Covenant, but an entirely New and Different Covenant. Sadly, many believers and ministers of God today are still confusing or mixing the New Covenant with the Old Covenant…

A NEW COMMANDMENT OF LOVE

A NEW COMMANDMENT OF LOVE

The standard of love for the Old Testament saints is “self.” The Law simply commands, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Lev. 19:18 NKJV). So, the measure, depth or height of love expected under the Law is your love for yourself!

On the contrary, the standard or measure of love expected of the New Testament saints is infinitely higher than that required of the saints of old. It is expected of you to love, esteem and care for others much more than you love, esteem and care for yourself. This is what is new in Jesus’ commandment of love in comparison with the old commandment of love!

WALKING IN THE SPIRIT

WALKING IN THE SPIRIT

It is possible to be living in the Spirit and yet not walking in the Spirit. Many believers today are only living in the Spirit, but not walking in the Spirit or walking according to the Spirit.

Living in the Spirit alone does not guarantee a victorious Christian living. It takes walking in the Spirit or walking by the Spirit to appropriate, experience and enjoy all the benefits of the finished work of Jesus. This is why the Scripture commands, “Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” (Gal. 5:16 NKJV)…

OVERCOMING FEAR

OVERCOMING FEAR

Any time you speak, pray or act in fear; you sin against God. Unfortunately, many prayers we offer in our churches today are motivated by fear of our enemies. Sadly, many believers and churches today are being controlled, dominated and influenced by fear of death, witches or demons.

Your victory over fear starts with you recognizing fear as a disobedience to God’s command that you should not fear. Any of your actions that is not motivated by faith is a sin in God’s sight; “for whatever is not from faith is sin.” (Rom. 14:23 NKJV). A believer who is operating in fear is indirectly saying that God’s promises or words are untrue and unreliable…

PURE WORSHIP TO GOD

PURE WORSHIP TO GOD

In pure worship, all affection and attention are towards the Lord; nothing else matters. It is not pure worship when you are still mindful of yourself and your situation. It is not pure worship to the Lord when your focus is partly on others and partly on the Lord. In pure worship, the preeminence of Jesus above all things is acknowledged, celebrated and proclaimed.

Like Mary, when your heart is overflowing with the love of Jesus, you will regard nothing as too much, costly or valuable to sacrifice to the Lord Jesus in worship, and you will not be bothered about what anybody has to say about your service or act of worship to the Lord…
