ENJOYING VICTORY OVER SIN (Part 1)

ENJOYING VICTORY OVER SIN (Part 1)

You will never experience and enjoy true victory over sin if your focus, mind, or attention is primarily on overcoming or stopping the actions or manifestations of sin, rather than on getting rid of the source of sin in you.

Your fight against sin is not against individual acts of sin, but against your innate inclination, inner tendency or propensity to sin. If the inherited sin nature or the innate inclination to sin in a man is destroyed or removed, then his actions of sin will cease…

VICTORY OVER THE WORLD (Part 2)

VICTORY OVER THE WORLD (Part 2)

Your daily victory over the world and its lusts, cares, and trials depend primarily on your spiritual understanding or revelation knowledge of the victory that Christ has already won and given to you through His death on the Cross.

It is the revelation knowledge of Christ and what He did for you on the Cross that produces the faith that overcomes the world. “And this is the victory that has overcome the world–our faith.” (1 John 5:4 NKJV). Ignorance only generates or produces fear, doubt or unbelief! The only way or means to total and lasting victory over the world and all its temptations, distractions, tribulations or persecutions is the Cross of Christ…

VICTORY OVER THE WORLD (Part 1)

VICTORY OVER THE WORLD (Part 1)

The Greek word translated ‘the world’ in the New Testament is ‘Kosmos’. It speaks of ‘orderly or harmonious arrangement, order, government, ornament, decoration or adornment (-the arrangement of the stars, the heavenly hosts)’. ‘Kosmos’ is also used to refer to ‘the universe, the earth, the inhabitants of the earth, or the human family’.

It is often used in reference to ‘the ungodly multitude; the whole mass of men alienated from God, and therefore hostile to the cause of Christ.’ ‘Kosmos’ in the Bible also implies ‘world affairs, the aggregate of things earthly, the whole circle of earthly goods, riches, advantages, pleasures, etc, which although transitory or fleeting seduce or distract the hearts of men from God…

BE SPIRITUALLY-MINDED

BE SPIRITUALLY-MINDED

You are spiritually minded when your mind is set, fixed or focused on God and not on yourself, on other people, or on your situation. Being spiritually minded is being preoccupied with God’s thoughts. It is setting your thoughts and affections on God. It is meditating on God’s love, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, power and miracles even in the midst of your storm.

When your mind is set, stayed or fixed on God, you will experience and manifest God’s kind of peace in spite of your circumstances, challenges or trials…

DIVINE EXCHANGE

DIVINE EXCHANGE

Christianity is not merely about a changed life, but rather it is about an exchanged life. Christianity is essentially about exchanging our sinfulness for God’s righteousness; our corruption for God’s holiness; our poverty for God’s riches; our weakness for God’s strength; our foolishness for God’s wisdom; and our sorrow for God’s joy.

A call to be a Christian is basically a call to exchange your sin-riddled and sin-trodden nature and life for a holy and divine nature and life of Christ. It is a call to exchange your human, selfish and lower thoughts and ways for Christ’s divine, selfless and higher thoughts and ways…

THE NEW CREATION

THE NEW CREATION

The product of the new or spiritual birth is not a better, improved, reformed, or refined old self, but a new creation, a new self, a new being. Your daily victory over Sin and Satan lies in you walking in the revelation knowledge that you are now a new creation, person, or being in Christ, by reason of your spiritual union with Christ.

If you fail to acknowledge, embrace, believe and live by the spiritual truth that you are now a New Creation – a new being in Christ with a new, holy and divine nature, divine potentials, new status, exalted position, and unlimited spiritual authority; you will still continue to think, speak, live, operate, struggle and suffer under the tyranny of Sin and Satan as the old being…
