REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS (Part 1)

REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS (Part 1)

As a Christian, you are expected to rejoice at all times and in all situations. You are supposed to remain calm and cheerful regardless of what befalls you or what anybody says or does to you. When things didn’t turn out the ways you have expected, God expects you to still rejoice.

When you are hurt, betrayed, jilted, or disappointed by family and friends, God does not want you to be sorrowful but to be cheerful. When you suddenly lose a loved one, God still wants you to rejoice. When you are reviled, reproached or persecuted for Christ’s sake, God does not want you to be bitter or sorrowful, but to be calmed, cheerful or joyous…

DIVINE ANTIDOTE FOR DESPAIR

DIVINE ANTIDOTE FOR DESPAIR

The depths of despair is the most dangerous place to be in this life. No one commits suicide until he has been driven into the depths of despair or hopelessness. The devil always seeks to employ and exploit every tragedy, tribulation, persecution, or adversity you may experience in life to drive you into the depths of hopelessness where you can easily detest life and give up on God.

When Prophet Elijah was driven by Jezebel into the depths of despair, he abhorred life and “prayed that he might die, and said, “It is enough! Now, LORD, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!” (1 Kings 19:4 NKJV)…

BE A FOLLOWER OF THE WAY

BE A FOLLOWER OF THE WAY

Until around 300 A.D. when Christianity became institutionalized and reduced to a mere religion rather than a loving, intimate and dynamic relationship with God, the Disciples of Christ were often referred to as “the followers of the Way.” And they were passionately hated and severely persecuted under the religious system created and run by the carnal and greedy priesthood of those days (Acts 9:1-2).

Why did they call the Disciples of Christ “the followers of the Way?” What was “the Way” they committed themselves to follow? It is wisdom for us to know how and why following “the Way” distinguished the early disciples from the religious people of their days!

BE A DOER OF THE WORD

BE A DOER OF THE WORD

It is a contradiction in terms to call Jesus “Lord” and yet not obey His words, teachings or commands. It is simply a self-delusion or self-deception to claim to be a follower of Christ but not a doer of the Word of Christ. The Scripture commands, “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” (Jam. 1:22 NKJV).

Anyone who is only a hearer, preacher or teacher of God’s Word but not a doer of the Word is only deceiving himself. Sadly, many people today who are eager to hear, preach or teach God’s Word are very reluctant to do, obey or practice the Word…

COME INTO FULL KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH

COME INTO FULL KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH

Salvation is not just an instant spiritual experience; it is a lifelong spiritual journey culminating in Christlikeness here on earth and in a blissful eternity with God in heaven. God’s ultimate purpose for you here on earth is to grow up in every aspect to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. And at the end of your pilgrimage on earth, God desires that you enjoy eternity with Him in heaven.

From the moment you became born again, you have started a lifelong spiritual journey into God’s eternal purposes for you. Your experiences in your salvation journey primarily depend on your revelation knowledge of the truth about your new spiritual condition, position, inheritance, privileges, and responsibilities in Christ…

GOD ALWAYS LEADS IN TRIUMPH

GOD ALWAYS LEADS IN TRIUMPH

Under the New Covenant, God will never test, afflict, chastise, or punish the believers with sickness, poverty, failure or defeat. God will be unjust to do that! Why? Because that will nullify the redemptive work of Christ!

Sadly, many believers today are wasting or pining away in suffering, sickness, poverty, debt, failure or defeat while erroneously thinking or believing that it is God who is testing their faith or seeking to teach them some vital lessons in life. It is so absurd to think that God will, for any reason, perform or promote in our lives the same works of the devil which He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to come into the world to destroy…
